We watch 3D movies in theatres; some may even have a 3D television at home now. 3D is indeed a technology that we can’t live without in the 21st century. Now, we can even enjoy the 3D journey simply on our very own personal assistant – our smartphone! The LG Optimus 3D P920 is the one. Inside the package box, there are a LG Optimus 3D P920 phone, a battery, a charger, a handsfree and a user guide.
Of course, you cannot see any difference between a normal phone and a 3D phone by seeing its appearance. Like other smartphones in the market, the P920 features a large screen of 4.3 inches. The front is a well-done mix of faux brushed metal and equipped with touch-sensitive keys.
The back has the LG’s trademark styling with a metal stripe on soft rubbery plastic. And on the left hand side, there are the rear-facing cameras.
A secondary camera in the front is also available.
And the primary cameras are located at the back. They help record 2D videos with 1080p 24@fps resolution and 3D videos with 720 30@fps resolutions.
The 3.5mm audio jack is just at the top of the phone. Right next to it is the on/off and lock key.
On the left is the port for HDMI and the USB.
Featuring touch-sensitive key without a QWERTY keyboard may sound inconvenient for some users. However, you will fall in love the user-friendly interface. You will discover another journey in the 3D Space.
The LG Optimus 3D P920 is definitely not the first 3D phone in the market, and of course we expect more to come. Comparing the previous 3D phones out in the market, the P920 has a bit of flaw- its thickness. If you place it next to a competitor in the market, you will see the P920 looks rather chubby than the others. For example, the Sharp Aquos phone sh-12c is a major competitor of the LG Optimus 3D. Although both supports brilliant 2D and 3D videos recording, the former one has dual 800 megapixel -camera while the latter only features 500 megapixels. Having the approximately same size of the display screen, you will expect to see a rather slimmer design of the Sharp Aquos. No matter which phone you are opting for, the 3D phones are going to be a big hit in the market!
